The course is designed for learners whose native language is not Ukrainian and provides an introduction to the structure of the Ukrainian language. It aims to develop essential communication skills for everyday interactions in familiar, thematic contexts. Furthermore, it introduces culturally significant concepts, national symbols, stereotypes, and mythologemes, enabling students to gain a deeper understanding of the Ukrainian linguistic worldview, cultural identity, and ethnic mindset.

We are happy to invite you to join our new online course “The Ukrainian Language and Culture”, developed within the Erasmus+ DigiFLEd Project.

This A1-level beginner course is designed for anyone taking their first steps in Ukrainian and supports our mission to share and promote Ukrainian language and culture worldwide.

Format: fully online, self-paced
Languages of instruction: English & Ukrainian
Learning tools: interactive multimedia materials for flexible, independent study

By joining the course, you will:

  • learn the basics of Ukrainian (A1 level);
  • develop practical communication skills for everyday situations (greetings, travel, shopping);
  • become familiar with key sociocultural aspects of life in Ukraine;
  • explore Ukrainian traditions through language and communication.
