Впроваджуємо цифрові інновації у викладанні іноземних мов
Наприкінці листопада викладачі та аспіранти кафедри англійської мови для нефілологічних спеціальностей разом з іншими науковцями факультету розпочали навчання за серією освітніх курсів, що розробили колеги з провідних університетів Європи у межах проєкту Еразмус+ «Модернізація університетських освітніх програм з іноземних мов на основі інтеграції з інформаційними технологіями» (DigiFLEd).
Серед навчальних модулів, що стали важливим кроком у вдосконаленні викладання можна виокремити: «Основи створення курсів електронного навчання на платформі Moodle», «Цифрові ігри та гейміфікація у викладанні іноземних мов», «Цифровий сторітелінг», «Цифрові інструменти для створення онлайн-курсів», «Теорії та принципи мультимедійного навчання», «Письмо для наукових публікацій» тощо.
Унікальність курсів полягає у практичному підході, який забезпечили викладачі з трьох університетів-партнерів: Мейнутського Національного університету (Ірландія), Університету Західної Македонії (Греція) та Університету Тампере (Фінляндія).
Під час тренінгів учасників знайомлять з принципами створення ефективних онлайн-курсів, гейміфікації, а також навчають новітнім інструментам для підтримки студентської зацікавленості. Практичні заняття охоплюють створення навчальних відео, подкастів, цифрового сторітелінгу, редагування мультимедійного контенту, а також знайомство з технологіями віртуальної та доповненої реальності.
Крім того, наші викладачі мають можливість вдосконалити навички перекладу в програмі Trados, опанувати тонкощі академічного письма та оволодіти інструментами для аналізу результатів студентів. Модулі спрямовані на вдосконалення цифрових компетенцій викладачів, що вможливлює створення сучасних інтерактивних заняття та забезпечення цифровізації освітнього процесу.

Integrating Digital Innovations into Foreign Language Teaching
At the end of November, teachers and postgraduates of the Department of English for Non-Philological Specialties, with other academics from the faculty, began training in a series of educational courses. These were developed by colleagues from leading European universities as part of the Erasmus+ project: Modernisation of University Education Programmes in Foreign Languages by Integrating Information Technologies (DigiFLEd).
The training modules to improve teaching practices include: Fundamentals of Creating E-Learning Courses on the Moodle Platform; Digital Games and Gamification in Foreign Language Teaching; Digital Storytelling; Digital Tools for Developing Online Courses; Theories and Principles of Multimedia Learning; and Writing for Academic Publications.
The uniqueness of these courses lies in their practical approach, provided by instructors from three partner universities: Maynooth University (Ireland), the University of Western Macedonia (Greece) and Tampere University (Finland).
During the training sessions, participants are introduced to the principles of creating effective online courses and gamification, as well as the latest tools to sustain student engagement. The practical activities include the creation of educational videos, podcasts and digital storytelling; the editing of multimedia content; and virtual and augmented reality technologies.
Our teachers can also enhance their translation skills with the Trados software, refine their academic writing techniques and m
aster tools for analysing student performance. The modules aim to improve the digital competencies of teachers, enabling the development of modern, interactive lessons and fostering the digitalisation of the educational process.We sincerely thank our colleagues from Maynooth, Western Macedonia and Tampere for their invaluable contributions to the professional development of our teaching staff!
